Moapa Valley?s defense had carried the team the past two weeks. It was the offense?s turn in a 41-19 victory over league opponent Boulder City Thursday night.

3A football teams ready for league play ? finally
The Boulder City and Moapa Valley high football teams each have three games left in the regular season. Yet, when 3A Southern League rivals square off at 7 p.m. on Oct. 16 at Boulder City, the winning team will be guaranteed a share of the league title and be a virtual lock to reach the 3A state semifinals. Oddly enough, the game is also the league opener for both schools.

The Boulder City High football team put an exclamation point on the homecoming celebration. The Eagles surrendered less than 50 yards for the second consecutive week on Oct. 2 and running back Devin Combs rushed for 153 yards and a touchdown in a 15-10 victory against visiting Faith Lutheran.
